SIGNY MARILYN OFFORD (nee BRANDSON) August 26, 1942 - December 4, 1999 After a lengthy battle with chronic lung disease, Signy Offord passed away December 4, 1999 at the Health Sciences Centre with her family by her side. Signy was predeceased by her father Sigurdur Brandson and her son Ken Holmes. She is survived by her husband Bert Offord; her mother Sara Brandson; her daughter Kelly Holmes (Rod Fisher) her only granddaughter Holliday Holmes Fisher; her son Keith Offord (Sandra Moore) her brother Mel Brandson (Bev) and nephews, Todd and Cory. Signy loved her family. Her fondest memories were times spent with those she loved. Signy worked as a registered nurse for the University of Manitoba and Central Park Lodge. She will be remembered as an unabashed extrovert, who loved to laugh and tell you exactly what she thought whether you wanted to hear it or not. The death of her son was extremely difficult for her to cope with and her health began to fail rapidly as a result. Signy adored her granddaughter Holli whom she thought was her twin soul and she would aptly boast that fact to whoever would listen. She was a wonderful Grandma. She will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St. at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8. Pastor Ingthor Isfeld will be officiating. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
